Privacy policy
1. Controller
KAN Service GmbH, c/o Adrian Wildermuth, Etzmattrain 18c, 3322 Urtenen-Schönbühl, Switzerland. Contact: info@kan-service.ch.
2. Purposes of data processing
We process personal data to provide and secure this website and to respond to your enquiries. This processing is governed in particular by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by METANET AG. When you access it, the hosting provider processes your IP address and other technical access data. Server logs may record, in particular, the time of access, requested page or file, volume of data transferred, browser and operating system details (user agent), referring page (referrer), and status and error messages.
This data is processed to operate the website, analyse errors and protect against misuse. Such hosting logs may also be generated when you submit the contact form and are separate from the form's verification data described below.
4. Contact by email
If you contact us directly by email, we process your email address, the information you provide and the message content to respond to your enquiry and continue the correspondence. The email providers involved process the message and technical delivery data to send and receive it.
5. Contact form and protection against misuse
The contact form requires your name, email address and message. The selected form language is used for feedback. The server checks your entries and forwards the enquiry to our email inbox using the hosting provider's local mail transport. Your email address is also used as the reply-to address.
The form application does not store your name, email address or message in a database or its own file storage. If errors occur, your entries are displayed again for correction. The mail server may temporarily store the message until delivery; once received, it is held in our inbox. The application does not add your IP address or technical spam verification data to the email.
To protect against spam and misuse, we check the entries and technical information about the origin of the request and limit repeated sending attempts. These checks take place on the web server without transferring data to external form or spam protection services.
To limit sending attempts, a pseudonymised identifier is calculated from your IP address using a secret key. This identifier and the timestamps of counted sending attempts are stored in a private directory outside the publicly accessible website directory. This verification data contains neither your IP address in plain text nor your name, email address or message. If technical errors occur, the form application writes only a general error message to the PHP log, without form entries.
The verification window is 15 minutes. Older timestamps and identifiers that are no longer needed are removed during the next rate-limit check or when the cleanup program runs. Without such a check or cleanup run, they may remain stored for longer; the verification window is not a guaranteed deletion period.
6. Local resources and external links
Fonts, images and stylesheets are loaded from our own web server. No fonts are retrieved from Google or other external font providers, and no third-party content is embedded.
The website contains simple links to LinkedIn. Merely visiting this website does not transfer data to LinkedIn through these links. If you open such a link, the respective provider's privacy policy applies to the external website.
7. Cookies, tracking and analytics
This website does not set cookies or use tracking, analytics, marketing pixels or social media plugins. No usage profiles are created.
8. Retention and email security
The same retention principles apply to enquiries sent by email and through the contact form: we retain correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, or as required by statutory retention obligations. The form application does not delete messages from the email inbox.
Email transmission is not end-to-end encrypted throughout. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the form or by ordinary email.
9. Your rights
You may request information about the processing of your personal data and the correction of inaccurate data. Where the statutory requirements are met, you may request deletion or restriction of processing, object to processing, and request to receive or transfer certain data.
To do so, please use the email address listed under “Controller”. To protect your data, we may request appropriate proof of identity. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with data protection concerns.
10. Language versions
The content of this website is written in German and reviewed for accuracy in that language. The English and Thai versions are translated from German with AI assistance. In the event of differences between the language versions, the German version serves as the reference for the content.
11. Changes and last updated
We update this privacy policy when data processing or legal requirements change. Last updated: 14 September 2026.
